This November in Singapore, Separation Science in collaboration with sample preparation expert Ronald Majors, will be providing a one-day training course on sample preparation starteges for good chromatography.
The approach of the course will be to discuss basic principles of common techniques such as Liquid-Liquid Extraction (LLE), Solid-Phase Extraction (SPE), Solid-Phase Microextraction (SPME) as well as more advanced technologies such as pressurized-fluid extraction, QuEChERS, supported-liquid extraction, enhanced matrix removal (EMR) and membrane-based extraction procedures.
Discussions on proper sampling approaches, size-exclusion chromatography as a sample prep technique and sample prep for bioanalysis will be included in the coverage. A brief discussion on automation of sample preparation to improve throughput and reproducibility and to relieve the manual fatigue when encountering large numbers of samples will round out the short course.
